ESTACHAS DE AMARRE

Las estachas o cabos de amarre son cuerdas muy gruesas, que sirven para amarrar los buques y barcos a los muelles en los puertos. Normalmente estas estachas están hechas de polipropileno, polietileno, poliéster, poliamida (Nylón), polidacrón, polimix, HMPE, fibra natural,etc. Según la cantidad de material o materiales sintéticos utilizados para fabricar estas amarras o estachas, tendrán cargas de rotura más o menos elevadas. Existe la posibilidad de fabricar estachas de doce cordones o trenzadas (« braided line »).
